Class

SETTLEMENT COUNSELLING

Settlement Counsellors provide newcomers with individualized support, advocacy, information, and referrals on settlement and integration related issues. Settlement workers provide one-to-one needs assessment to help clients with immediate settlement needs such as; housing, health care, education, employment, legal matters, immigration issues etc.

LIBRARY SETTLEMENT PROGRAM- LSP

Settlement Workers provide information and referrals to newcomers on a one-to-one basis or group sessions on issues pertaining to settlement and integration into the community. Program connects newcomers and immigrants to community programs and services. This program is in partnership with London Public Library.

SETTLEMENT WORKERS IN SCHOOLS- SWIS

Settlement Workers are placed in both elementary and secondary schools within Northeast London. SWIS facilitate the integration of newcomer students and families into the education system and community. This program is in partnership with Thames Valley District School Board & London District Catholic School Board.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS-

YOUTH & ADULT

Community Connections activities are geared to those holding permanent resident status in Canada. Programs offer opportunities to build skills to assist newcomers adjust to life in Canada. Programming includes conversations circles, leadership development, family events and cultural activities for youth and adults.
